The Dedication

I have a week of annual leave fast approaching. I will be using this annual leave in a way that may work, or may not. I have purchased index cards, sharpies, and every John Carpenter soundtrack I can get my hands on.
When this guy makes movies, I listen. And watch. Mostly because of the axe.

We are heading away for that week, to a property down the peninsula. An area renowned for it’s close proximity to beaches, as the home to one of Victoria’s last Drive-In cinemas, and an area with which the number nine holds an esoteric connection. Don’t ask – it won’t tell. This remote locality will provide us freedom from the everyday trials of work, and allow us to live a week free of clocks, should we so choose. I will be using this week to kick-start my writing on a project that I’m feeling very excited about right now.

Without giving away too much, I wanted to write a note to explain what may appear to be a sudden flurry of activity in November. It is activity partially inspired by NaNoWriMo. It is actively also more inspired by J.R. Vikse (an author) and H.A. Barr (is that your author name? It should be) Most of the activity will be about the writing and the project. Some of it (hopefully not most) will occur during my week away. You should be simultaneously informed, and intrigued.

If you are not, please return the unfinished portion of the blog post along with proof of purchase and you will be refunded for your inconvenienced. Refunded with lies and fabrications from the darkest, most unsettling of customer service accounts…

You have been warned. Sort of.
